About Us
Whistler Trading was founded in 2022 with the ambition to build a new leader in systematic trading — and we’re well on our way. We’ve invested heavily in research and infrastructure, developing lean, high-performance systems that let us go from idea to production faster than ever.
Most importantly, we’ve built a team with incredible talent density. It’s a lean, collaborative group where every member plays a vital role and grows alongside the firm. Everyone is expected to contribute, learn from one another, and help each other succeed.

Timo Barry
Timo Barry is the Co-Founder and CEO of Whistler Trading LLC, a global quantitative proprietary trading firm.
Prior to Whistler Trading, Mr. Barry gained deep high frequency trading experience in senior roles in top-tier trading firms. He was Head of Trading, Europe for Citadel Securities. Before joining Citadel, he worked for Knight Capital Group (KCG) and Susquehanna (SIG)
Mr. Barry holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from Dublin City University. Away from the screens, Timo enjoys golfing badly, running slowly and the food in the Whistler Trading pantry. A lifelong sports fan, he represented Ireland in junior and collegiate tennis. He now lives in Dublin, Ireland.
Connor Doyle
Connor is Co-Founder and President of Whistler Trading, where he leads global operations, infrastructure, and talent. With over 18 years of experience in quantitative trading, he has built and scaled high-performing teams across markets, technology stacks, and strategy domains.
Prior to founding Whistler, Connor spent over a decade at Susquehanna International Group (SIG). There, he pioneered the firm’s first ultra-low latency strategies for index and bond futures, founded its hardware engineering division, and led a 25-person cross-functional team of traders, researchers, and technologists. He also held executive roles, including President of SAL Trading LLC and Director of Susquehanna Atlantic Limited.
Connor brings deep expertise in trading system architecture, hardware-centric strategy development, and organizational design. Based in British Columbia, he’s also a husband, father of four, and a committed cook and strength-training enthusiast.
